Protective Services Screener & Worker

Springwell is seeking a Protective Services Screener & Worker to join our dynamic team!

The compensation for this role is 69K. 

DESCRIPTION:
  • Screen new reports of older adult maltreatment and/or self-neglect to determine if an investigation is warranted, according to program guidelines.
  • Assign cases to workers and provide direction for initial response including required time frames.
  • Discuss screening decisions with reporters as appropriate.
  • Conduct field visits to respond to crisis situations, complete investigations and implement service plans.
  • Document assessments of risk, capacity, and functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with elders, their formal/informal supports, other Springwell staff, and community professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited school in social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, sociology, criminal justice, public health, public policy, or gerontology.
  • Individuals with a Masters degree or higher must have 2 years experience with crisis intervention, elders, and/or investigations; Individuals with a Bachelors degree must have an additional year of experience.
